The children’s department of ACoG will be selling DVDs of the children’s musical performed in our sanctuary. If you know of anyone needing to purchase a copy of this please direct them to Barbara Snyder or Brandy Tiller. We have included all parts of the program including the call of salvation. We believe this could be another tool used to advance the Kingdom. This will help support the children’s ministry as all monies will go directly to the children’s department.
Thanks,

Special Classes
01/26/09
Every Wednesday this month we will have a special class in the sanctuary for all adults. It will be based on the book “Prayer…The Heartbeat of the Church” by P. Douglas Small. This is a part of the Church of Gods program of prayer emphasis that has been initiated by the denominational Overseer, Raymond Culpepper.
It is a very good book and program on prayer and will be powerfully effective for those who choose to attend. The Church of God and the Church at large need a renewed focus on prayer. Our families, our churches, our nation, and our world depend on the prayers of the saints of God. And we are in an especially trying time.
Class starts at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. Why don’t you come and join us.
We love you all

Raymond Culpepper Blog
01/17/09
The Church of God General Overseer has started blogging. That is good news. It shows us all that he is aware of the ever-changing landscape in which the Church has to minister.
I, for one, will pray that he uses this resource to speak to all of us. The ministers and the laypeople which he is at present residing over. It is past time in the COG that we were kept informed. It seems the calls for transparency in the leadership of our denomination may have actually been heard.
Help me pray for this transparency and the trust which will grow out of it. And we need to continue to pray for Brother Culpepper and all of our leadership.
I am including the link in the Blogroll so you can find his site more readily.
Love you all

Happy Birthday

Meet You In The ATIK
01/13/09
We would like to invite all young folk (ages 8-18) to our ATIK service this Sunday night at 6 pm. I.D. is required for entrance at the door. Otherwise, our bouncer (Joel) will give you the boot … just kidding (LOL)! No I.D. necessary. :
We know that God is calling this generation to a radical faith in Jesus Christ. A faith that refuses just to go through religious motions; a faith that cries out to love Jesus with all that we are; a faith that moves us to action in showing love to those around us.
And in order to answer such a call, we have to grow in our relationship with God and one another. So, we offer the ATIK as a strategic time of meeting together for tremendous worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship (key ingredients in growing closer to God and representing his Kingdom).
See ya there!
Have A Wonderful Day
