Let’s Do Lunch
02/28/09
On March 8th, we will be having a pizza luncheon fundraiser for our ACOG youth after the morning service. The price is $5.00 for a plate with two slices of pizza, salad, dessert, and drink. Please plan to stay and eat lunch with us. If you can’t join us for lunch then please consider making a donation. We are trying to raise funds to enable our youth to participate in numerous activities including Winterfest.
Thanks!
Barb
A.M.E.N. Report
02/26/09
(Alabaster Ministering to Emergency Needs)
One way the Alabaster Church of God reaches out to our community is through our A.M.E.N. Food Bank program. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by assisting families in the Shelby County area with nutritious food in emergency situations.
Each month we assist an average of 160 families in our area. This is a total of approximately 400 people. We make sure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, or handicap be denied assistance under this program.
During the month of February the A.M.E.N. Food Bank assisted the following:
156 Families to include 406 people
The Food Bank distribution schedule is as follows:
3rd Thursday of each month
10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon
It is a pleasure to serve our community for His glory

I found out last night that I will need to work a basketball subregional game at my school on Friday night from 6-9 pm so the Parents’ Night Out is being shifted to Saturday night, February 14th (Valentine’s night) from 6-10 pm. Please sign-up on the sheet in the foyer by Wednesday night so we can have an accurate count.
