Yak-N-Snak

03/02/09

Adult Fellowship Night
March 6, 2009  -  6:00 PM
Alabaster Church of God Fellowship Hall
For Ages 50ish and Up

dominoesOn the first Friday of each month the Alabaster Church of God sponsors the Yak-N-Snak Adult Fellowship.  This fellowship is designed for members and their guests who are 50ish and up.  The Yak-N-Snak Fellowship allows members a chance to become more acquainted with each other and bring us closer together as a church family.

We enjoy a pot luck buffet as everyone brings their favorite finger foods.  There is usually several rounds of Bingo where each person contributes a prize valued at approximately $1 just for fun.  After Bingo there are several tables to choose from to play dominoes and other board games.

We hope that you will plan to join us for Food, Fun and Fellowship.

A.M.E.N. Report

02/26/09

(Alabaster Ministering to Emergency Needs)

all-lined-upOne way the Alabaster Church of God reaches out to our community is through our A.M.E.N. Food Bank program.  Our mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by assisting families in the Shelby County area with nutritious food in emergency situations.

Each month we assist an average of 160 families in our area.  This is a total of approximately 400 people.  We make sure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, or handicap be denied assistance under this program.

During the month of February the A.M.E.N. Food Bank assisted the following:
156 Families to include 406 people

The Food Bank distribution schedule is as follows:
3rd Thursday of each month
10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon

It is a pleasure to serve our community for His glory
